Lynette Hamm

Lynette Hamm of Lakeland Florida peacefully departed this world on March 21st, 2024. On September 10th, 1930, Editha Willie and Clarence McFarlane became the proud parents of Lynette. Lynette had an older sibling, Beryl, and a younger sibling, Olive. As a young adult Lynette moved to Kingston in Jamaica; where she met and married Oswald Hamm.

She migrated to the USA, Perth Amboy, New Jersey, where she worked with as a nurse’s aide, bringing comfort and joy to many. She was a care giver on and off the job. She was always caring for those around her with songs, prayer, gifts, and kind words of encouragement. In New Jersey she attended the Pioneer Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was like a mother figure to the younger people, and she was active in the choir, prayer ministry.

Lynette Hamm moved to Lakeland, Florida in 2016 and continued being her true self. She attended the Maranatha Seventh Day Adventist Church. She bonded well with the congregation, where she became a sister, a mother, and a grandma, to everyone. She was also active in the singing ministry.
On March 21st 2024 she went peacefully to sleep, awaiting the Lords return. When this mortal shall put on immortality.

She was predeceased by two sons: David Hamm, her eldest, and Paul Hamm, her youngest. Her husband Oswald Hamm and her sister Mrs. Beryl Smith.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her children Elizabeth Winston, and Elaine. Sister Olive, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends, and church members.
Services will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Visitation from 10 AM - 12 PM, service at 12 PM.
